Where to Stay: South Beach, Miami

One of my favorite things about going to a travel conference is not only being inspired by all the properties and destination managers I'm meeting with from around the world, but I'm also surrounded by people who love hotels as much as I do. And we tend to spend most of our "free" time experiencing the best of the best that the area has to offer. This time, the destination was South Beach Miami.

The trouble with South Beach is there are so many amazing hotels to choose from, so where does one start? You can choose from middle of the action to low key, all the frills to simple elegance, or sophisticated to party town. Everyone hotel has a different personality to match their guests. Here are some of the highlights. Faena: Since this is my favorite hotel in Buenos Aires, I was thrilled when this property opened about 18 months ago. It has the same distinct over the top yet elevated decor, the highlight being the golden mammoth reigning over the outdoors. The rooms are spacious, the service on point, and the gathering areas super cool.

Edition: I was lucky enough to stay at this sleek, fresh property with excellent service. Entering the lobby, you have the masculine Matador bar and restaurant to one side, and a open air, welcoming market on the other, serving breakfast and lunch. The pool area is lush, but the true secret is the ice skating rink and hidden club downstairs.

1 Hotel: After the conference, a friend and I hopped over to the 1 Hotel. I absolutely adore the decor of this hotel - modern beach chic. We loved discovering the nooks and crannies throughout the lobby, but the real highlight were the pools. Rooftop for the party goers, central for groups and families, and lower for a more quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

There are so many other hotel options such as the boutique Betsy down the road, the large and impressive Lowes, and the COMO - another favorite that is more off the beaten path but yet so close to all the action. Not to mention the Delano, SLS, Sagamore and so many more. And that's just South Beach!

If you are thinking about escaping to Miami, give us a call so we can recommend the perfect match for you.
